The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers
The purpose of the 21st CCLC grant is to raise student academic achievement through the rise of community learning centers. These centers are planned with purposeful and mindful experiences that provide students with a safe learning environment and enriching activities to explore.
Academics activities are planned and implemented to complement the regular school day curriculum. Families of 21st CCLC youth also have access to educational development opportunities. 21st CCLC centers can be located in elementary, middle and high schools or similar accessible facilities. A wide range of services are provided from tutoring and homework help to community service opportunities and cultural activities. We try to curtail our clubs to student interest. There are currently 19 school districts and communities who receive the 21st CCLC recipients in New Hampshire and Laconia is lucky to be one of the them! |
New Hampshire Learning Initiative
Out-of-School Time Career Pathways Grant
Future Learning Pathways focuses on equity and opportunity for all students by customizing individual student paths to career readiness after high school. The Laconia School District is working to develop a comprehensive system of pathways for students K-12 to access and engage in educational opportunities and programs that prepares them for career, college, community and life. We are committed to increasing career exploration opportunities for Laconia students. We encourage students to participate in apprenticeships, internships, obtaining ELO credits, and Industry Recognized Credentials (IRC) that align with student interest and career goals. |
