The Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers

  • The purpose of the 21st CCLC grant is to raise student academic achievement through the rise of community learning centers. These centers are planned with purposeful and mindful experiences that provide students with a safe learning environment and enriching activities to explore. Our funding is under the federal Title IV, part B, Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grant. This funding has allowed us to offer enrichment activities throughout the school year, as well as during the summer.

  • Academics activities are planned and implemented to complement the regular academic school day curriculum.  In addition to the robust enrichment program at each of the schools, we have integrated DreamBox Learning by Discovery Education. This adaptive learning software will target your child's specific needs in reading and math and will customize a fun learning path to reinforce and build their knowledge base.

  • Families of 21st CCLC youth also have access to educational development opportunities.

  • 21st CCLC centers can be located in elementary, middle and high schools or similar accessible facilities. A wide range of services are provided from tutoring and homework help to community service opportunities and cultural activities. We try to curtail our clubs to student interest.

  • There are currently 19 school districts and communities who receive the 21st CCLC recipients in New Hampshire and Laconia is lucky to be one of the them!

Laconia's 21st CCLC Grant

New Hampshire Learning Initiative
Out-of-School Time Career Pathways Grant

Future Learning Pathways focuses on equity and opportunity for all students by customizing individual student paths to career readiness after high school. The Laconia School District is working to develop a comprehensive system of pathways for students K-12 to access and engage in educational opportunities and programs that prepares them for career, college, community and life.

We are committed to increasing career exploration opportunities for Laconia students. We encourage students to participate in apprenticeships, internships, obtaining ELO credits, and Industry Recognized Credentials (IRC) that  align with student interest and career goals.
